In the first half of 2010, Polish airports served 8 million 11 thousand of passengers, what is 4,95% more than in the same period of last year.
In the first ten biggest airlines (passeneger traffic) five are low-cost airlines. In the first half of 2010 they had 4 million 200 thousand of passengers. However, in total this segment of the carriers has decreased its market share of 0.2%, and its growth rate compared with traditional carriers was 0.8% lower.
Wizzair is the leading low-cost carrier. It had 1 million 890 thousand of passengers (14% growth). Ryanair with 1 million 656 thousand is second (9% growth). Easyjet is third.
PLL LOT still remains the largest carrier. Their passengers were 28.3% of total number of passenger traffic. It is 0.6% more than in the first half of 2009.
