A new connection of PCC Intermodal with Moscow
Tell a friend A new connection of PCC Intermodal with Moscow
28-11-2011
At the beginning of December PCC Intermodal will launch a new, regular connection of the railway transport of container cargo Dariusz Stefański, a chairman of the board of PCC Intermodal, stated that making a decision about opening a new connection is an element of the company’s development and also a next step in creating regular, intermodal connections in our part of the continent. He also said that a good location of Poland in Europe and a possibility to use a new Kutno Terminal helped them.
A new offer will cause that handling of a big amount of containers from Gdańsk and Gdynia terminals, from ports of Rotterdam, Hamburg and Bremethave and also from the most important industrial regions in Central-East Europe (Berlin region, the Ruhr, Upper and Lower Silesia, central Poland), which are transported from Moscow, will be a lot more efficient – the government informed.
A route of a train will be 2,5 thousand kilometers long. Containers will be delivered with cars directly to the place that a client appoints. A transport Rotterdam-Moscow and Hamburg/Bremerhaven-Moscow will take less than a week. Every Thursday cargo will be delivered to Kutno Terminal and on Monday, in the morning will already be in Moscow.
